Kindle DX 3G Best Buy
I am so excited with my Newest Kindle DX. I am actually reading more than I have been in the last few years. I love Kindle DX 3G the built-in dictionary. All I have to do is put the cursor in front of a word, and the definition appears at the bottom of the screen. When reading paper books, I usually just guess at the meaning of some words by the context in which they are used. I don’t go look them up as I come to them. Now I don’t have to. The definition is at my fingertips. I love the ability to change type size as my granddaughter likes bigger words and I have downloaded all the old fairy tales for her.

I bought this Newest Kindle DX 3G for my wife, who hates most technology. She loves it and likes to read via the Kindle almost as much as a real book. Congratulations on an excellent product!
Frankly I had been waiting for the price to drop on the 1st gen DXs. Then when it did and in addition Ver 2.0 included a much brighter screen & a darker frame I now think the DX is a much better value. I had read everything I could find on the product and have not been disappointed, nor do I feel the sales literature were overly hyped. The free 3g works good enough & is a great selling point. I have only 4 tweaks that I hope are addressed in the future: 1) Particularly with the leather cover which really should be mandatory and was expensive, the DX is a little heavier then I had expected. 2) It is a little hard, and not very intuitive to jump around in books or magazines – but I have not yet thought of how it could be engineered to better accomplish this common reading task. 3) the extended warranty is expensive and I think Amazon should have included it as part of the product – either the DX is rugged enough to take the place of paper based products OR it isn’t; the purchaser shouldn’t have to feel worry that it is suddenly going to stop working. On the other hand IF I drop it; then that’s not Amazon’s problem. 4) Finally and I’m sure this will slowly improve, but I have also been somewhat disappointed that many of the books I want to buy – albeit they are mostly nonfiction – and load are not available in the e-format. Other than that it is a great device and a good value.
